Plated, that’s what is for dinner.

After several months of viewing multiple adds about meal kit services, I finally decided to try Plated.  I chose this company because it had more options to choose from and you only have to commit to 2 meals per week.  There seems to be no commitment,  you can skip a week if you are busy and cancel at anytime.  I went on the website and ordered my two meals and anxiously awaited for my chosen Tuesday delivery.  This is how the box looked when it arrived around 4:30pm.

Weekly Box of Plated

I picked Pretzel-Crusted Fish, Green Beans with a Creamy Horserdish Sauce and Lamb Kofta with Herb Salad over Charred Naan.  I decided to cook the fish dish first so it would be fresh.  I took the ingredients out of the box and set them out to cook, while I read over the recipe and instructions.

It was a fairly easy dish, stating that it would take 30-40 minutes to cook.  I am quite familiar with the kitchen and consider myself an above average cook. so I thought it was very easy to follow the directions and cook the dish.  I made the creamy horseradish sauce and let it set while I cooked the other items, that is the only change I made to the recipe.

Overall, we enjoyed the meal.  The fish was very fresh and not at all “fishy’.  The ingredients tasted fresh and it was very good.  Now we are looking forward to tomorrow’ s dinner selection.
